Dr. Bressler has published over 240 peer-reviewed articles and serves on the editorial boards of several journals, including Archives of Ophthalmology. His main research interests have been collaborative efforts in clinical trials of common retinal diseases, including age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and diabetic retinopathy. He also chairs the NIH-sponsored Diabetic Retinopathy Clinical Research Network and Chairs the National Eye Institute's Data and Safety Monitoring Committee for Intramural Clinical Trials, and is a voting member of the FDA Ophthalmic Devices Panel. In addition to teaching medical students, residents, and fellows at Johns Hopkins, Dr. Bressler directs several CME courses in ophthalmology each year.
